Keady O’Leary
Reid Keady O’Leary son & best mate, loving and doting son to Karen (Kaza), protective brother to sister’s Tyla (Ty) and Eden (Bubs), our family was whole.
As parents we love our children without pause, the connection was instant, the fierce protectiveness was unlimited. The microsecond they were welcomed into our world the bond with mother and father was undyeable. As parents our existence was overshadowed by the arrival of our children.
Reids decision will forever leave a massive void in the hearts of our family that can never be filled, Reids loss will be with us for the remainder of our years. Reids decision cannot be undone, as a family we will not understand the pain he was experiencing, we have / will not or ever judge his decision, we will forever love him for who he is. Words can never do justice to the level of loss the family feels.
A chance discussion with an old school mate the night of Reids service was the inspiration for us to try to make a difference, I remember the comment being “How can we save 1 life” October the following year the Reid O’Leary Charitable Trust was established.
As Trustees we are absolutely committed to making a difference with the mental health and wellbeing for the youth of today.
