In 2025, we gathered to celebrate a pivotal moment for the Reid O'Leary Charitable Trust: the official launch of our 2025 R.E.I.D. Wellbeing Program. While we have been dedicated to youth mental health for years, this event marked a significant shift in how we support our schools and represents a commitment to the future of New Zealand’s rangatahi.

By partnering with Linewize, we are moving from reactive support to proactive intervention. Through the Linewize Pulse app, students now have a safe, digital space to "check in" on their emotions for just $6 a year—giving schools the "student voice" needed to identify those in need, often before they realise it themselves.

Supported by this platform, our R.E.I.D. framework (Reach, Empowerment, Insights, Development) is already active in 28 Hawke's Bay schools. By providing a private channel for students to speak up and connecting them with trusted teachers, we are honouring Reid’s memory and building the resilience every young person deserves.

As we look toward 2025 and beyond, our goal is clear: to build a scalable, sustainable culture of care that ensures no child’s struggle goes unnoticed.
